Job Description Summary

Verantwortlich für Tätigkeiten im Zusammenhang mit dem Bau, der Errichtung und Inbetriebnahme beim Kunden, von der Mobilisierung des Standorts über Bau-, Montage- und Inbetriebnahmearbeiten bis hin zu Managementaktivitäten in diesem Bereich. Beeinflusst den Abteilungsbetrieb und ist verantwortlich für die Planung/Ausführung.Die Rolle hat eine gewisse Autonomie, konzentriert sich jedoch auf die Ausführung von Aktivitäten innerhalb einer operativen Disziplin, die durch funktionale Standardpraktiken und -verfahren abgedeckt wird.Möglicherweise ist ein gewisses Urteilsvermögen erforderlich, dies erfolgt jedoch in der Regel unter Anleitung.

Job Description

Job Purpose:

The role involves providing technical leadership and expertise for the commissioning phases of Offshore Wind Turbine projects. This includes oversight from supplier manufacturing through various commissioning stages. The role has a high autonomy and is focused on all specific system technical support activities covered providing and expertise support for site teams

Significant Activities:

  • Collaborate with design and operations teams to develop commissioning test plans.
  • Validate asset receipt to mitigate technical risks.
  • Prepare commissioning protocols and support documentation creation for Haliade commissioning.
  • Assist back office purchasing team with tooling and spares lists.
  • Develop relationships with customers for technical commissioning aspects.
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support, manage defects, and ensure commissioning timelines.
  • Lead technical and operational improvements during commissioning.
  • Drive process improvements focusing on digitalization, data analytics, and EHS compliance.
  • Analyze data for continuous improvement in operational safety and quality.
  • Communicate recommendations through technical material presentations.
  • Support cost sheet preparation and improve offers based on technical analysis.
  • Uphold quality standards and documentation adherence.
  • Represent the organization to promote Safety, Quality, and Compliance.

Nature and Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to test plans and safety rules.
  • Autonomy in Wind Farm commissioning technical support activities.
  • Lead improvement initiatives and workshops.
  • Share best practices globally.
  • Participate in tender quotation processes.
  • Key role to streamline resolution of main problems and act as trainer for the rest of the team

Working Relationships:

Reports to Commissioning Technical Support Leader; supports Project execution teams, both supervisors and technician working locally in turbines or remotely in Remote Operation Center. Interfaces with Installation and MechElec teams to uphold safety best practices. Manages partnerships for technical guidance and alignment.

Professional Skills Required:

  • 10 years of Offshore Wind Farm experience.
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Proven track record in wind turbine technical support and team leadership.
  • Experience with power converters and commissioning tooling management.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility, motivation, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience with quality tools and systems.
  • Strong communication skills and goal-driven.
  • Understanding of English language for global procedures.

Pre-requisite EHS:

  • Strong safety culture and ability to uphold GE EHS requirements.
  • Knowledge of HV EHS safety systems.
