Job Description Summary
Prozesse und Verfahren im Zusammenhang mit dem grenzüberschreitenden Transport und Versand von GE-Waren. Beeinflusst den Abteilungsbetrieb und ist verantwortlich für die Planung/Ausführung.Die Rolle hat eine gewisse Autonomie, konzentriert sich jedoch auf die Ausführung von Aktivitäten innerhalb einer operativen Disziplin, die durch funktionale Standardpraktiken und -verfahren abgedeckt wird.Möglicherweise ist ein gewisses Urteilsvermögen erforderlich, dies erfolgt jedoch in der Regel unter Anleitung.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage daily operational execution, duty / TAX avoidance program Major Exporter Scheme(MES), and compliance programs in Singapore.
- Keep contact with the Customs Authorities, site contacts, customs brokers, and customs focal points of other GE Businesses in the region as necessary
- Manage the resolution for Pre-Entry escalations.
- Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely declarations.
- Lead cycle time & Pre-Entry escalation reduction projects.
- Manage the collection of primary KPIs (Volume, Cycle time, FPY) and reporting towards leadership.
- Collaborate with business contacts to gather technical information required by Customs Authorities.
- Create and maintain work instructions for Customs Brokers and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) suppliers.
- Supervise submission of post entry corrections as applicable.
- Provide Import and Export operations support.
- Support internal and external audits, and lead the implementation of audit corrective action plans.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on customs operations.
- Control and maintain customs compliance procedures and operational work instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Customs or Business from an accredited university or college & minimum 3 years of experience in customs processes is essential
- Those with either an A-Levels or diploma with at least 8 years of experience in customs processes would be considered.
- Direct involvement in customs clearance processes and strong knowledge of Singapore Customs regulations is essential.
- Previous experience in MES is essential.
Desired Characteristics
- Excellent n communication skills.
- Singapore Customs Broker License or equivalent certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements based on Lean principles.
- Experience in working with global teams and cross-functional teams.
