We are seeking a visionary Digital Engineer to bolster our digital portfolio with advanced design, implementation, and troubleshooting expertise, creating transformative technical reports and offering strategic insights.
Position Overview
As a Digital Engineer working within the engineering function, you will lead the engineering implementation of Power Conversion’s digital applications, playing a pivotal role in project teams with accountability and responsibility for deploying digital solutions across diverse greenfield and brownfield projects. Your technical acumen will be integral in enhancing our Asset Performance Management (APM) and Remote Monitoring & Diagnostic solutions to ensure seamless operations and maximum benefits from day one.
Key Responsibilities
APM Integration: Responsible for the integration of APM solutions in every project, ensuring compatibility and optimisation of all specified equipment
System Design & Configuration: Responsible for configuring APM and RM&D solutions by configuring hardware/ software, selecting parameters to monitor, defining standard templates and frameworks for data collection, deploying diagnostic algorithms, and generating critical reports
Reliability Enhancement: Identify and implement strategies to elevate the reliability and stability of the APM platform
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for all APM and RM&D related queries, providing technical support and guidance to internal teams
In Service Support: Provide support to Service teams when troubleshooting digital solutions or fixing customer issues
Sales & Bid Consultation: Collaborate with sales teams to offer technical input on bids for system upgrades and new implementations.
Product & Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in products, processes and documentation, enhancing user experience and validation support
Algorithm Development: Partner with product development teams to refine and advance APM algorithms for superior system performance
Digital Innovation: Work closely with development teams to leverage digital technologies that enhance product quality and expedite root cause analyses
Digital Enablement: Responsible for configuring GE Vernova’s Visor and Data Historian solutions within the system architecture, ensuring appropriate data logger configuration to enable future prognostic services and reactive technical support
Connectivity: Work with customer IT teams to ensure a stable and active connection to the GE Vernova cloud throughout the project’s lifecycle
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field, complemented by significant industry experience
Proven track record in designing and installing industrial control systems and analytics platforms
Proficiency in digital and remote monitoring applications
Strong grasp of engineering principles, tools, and cutting-edge technologies
Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Preferred Skills and Experience
Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols
Expertise in industrial network and communications configurations
