Job Description
What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day EHS operations on construction project sites, including new installations, rehabilitation, and EPC/turnkey scopes — ensuring safe working conditions at every stage
- Manage and develop a small team of EHS professionals on-site, including staffing decisions, performance development, and coaching less experienced colleagues
- Drive implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programmes, ensuring compliance with both GE Vernova standards and local regulatory requirements
- Engage and influence project stakeholders — including Project Directors, Site Managers, consortium partners, and subcontractors — to embed a high-performance safety culture across all project activities
- Monitor and report on EHS performance using corporate digital reporting tools, identifying issues early and proposing practical solutions
- Ensure all work complies with applicable national legislation, GE Vernova corporate EHS policy, and international standards — flagging risks and driving corrective action where needed
Who You Are
You bring a strong EHS background in construction or heavy industry, and you understand what it takes to lead safety on the ground — not just in policy documents. You're credible with site teams, confident with senior stakeholders, and able to maintain rigorous standards even in complex, fast-moving environments.
Required
- A formal education and subsequent Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical), EHS Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related field is preferred — but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements
- Proven experience in EHS and/or construction project safety management (see note: experience equivalent assessed at interview)
- Valid Occupational Safety and Health Manager (Class B or above) certification (職業安全衛生管理員(乙級)或以上資格), as required by Taiwan regulatory authorities
- NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) / IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) qualification, or local legislative equivalent
- Strong electrical safety knowledge and practical experience with PTW and LOTO systems
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) — written and spoken
- Willingness to work on night shifts as and when required by project schedules
Preferred
- Prior experience working on Taiwan Power Company (TPC) projects
- Background in power plant and/or oil & gas construction environments
- Familiarity with GE Vernova or equivalent corporate EHS digital reporting platforms
