Stellenbeschreibung

Job Description Summary

What impact you’ll make
As an Electrical Engineer supporting the Haliade-X offshore wind fleet, you will troubleshoot complex turbine trips and electrical/control system faults that directly impact turbine availability and energy production. You’ll combine engineering judgment with SCADA data, alarm analysis, and system trends to restore turbines to service quickly and help prevent repeat failures across the fleet. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, high-impact fault diagnostics, and working on advanced renewable energy technology at scale.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Act as the technical escalation point for turbine trips and faults not resolved by first-level support.
  • Diagnose electrical and controls issues using SCADA data, alarms, event history, and turbine trends.
  • Restore turbine operation remotely whenever possible to reduce downtime and return-to-service time.
  • Create clear work instructions for field technicians when on-site intervention is needed, enabling safe and efficient first-time fixes.
  • Own issues from initial diagnosis through final resolution, coordinating with Engineering, Sourcing, Projects, and field teams.
  • Identify recurring faults and support root cause analysis efforts that lead to permanent corrective actions.
  • Improve troubleshooting methods, fault response procedures, and operational best practices across the fleet.
  • Contribute to higher reliability, better fleet performance, and stronger technical problem resolution capability.

What you’ll bring

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, industrial controls, power electronics, or wind turbines.
  • A good understanding of technologies used in wind turbines.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to turn complex data into practical technical actions.
  • Experience with SCADA, PLCs, industrial automation platforms, or complex equipment monitoring systems is a strong plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both engineering and field teams.
  • Fluent English required; Spanish is a plus.

What will help you stand out

  • Experience in wind energy, renewable energy, or other complex industrial environments.
  • Strong ownership mindset and comfort working through urgent technical issues.
  • Ability to identify repeat problems and drive long-term reliability improvements.
  • Confidence explaining technical issues clearly and working across functions to resolve them.

Why join us

You’ll work on one of the most advanced offshore wind turbine platforms in the industry and help solve problems that have a direct impact on clean energy production. This role offers strong technical exposure across controls, electrical systems, fleet operations, and reliability improvement, with opportunities to grow your expertise and career in offshore wind.
