Job Description

Intern/COOP in CONTRACT MANAGEMENT:

Contract Management provides support for the execution of complex equipment orders and extended scope, domestic Power Plant contracts, as part of a Contract Management team, whose responsibilities include:

• contract analysis, interpretation of project commercial issues to closure.

• developing automated tools to support change order management of contracts.

• organizing Contract documents

• creating and maintaining databases for tariff recovery

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Enrolled in College pursuing a Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent.

* Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Ability to use AI tools

* Strong presentation and negotiation skills including development of presentations.

* Ability to handle many complex issues concurrently.

* Computer-literate, including preparation of detailed Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint presentations.

* Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide support to the Contract Management team

* Organize legacy Contract documents

* Maintain tariff database to enable tariff recovery from customers

* Support assigned Contracts in execution

* Special projects as assigned  

LANGUAGES:

* An excellent level of written and spoken English.

The pay for this position ranges from $22/hr. - 30/hr. based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed.

This position is also eligible for:

• Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.

• Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.

• Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services

• GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
