Job Description Summary
The General Assembler is responsible for assembling products according to drawings, work instructions, and the Process Control Plan. The role includes performing visual inspections, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and handling non-conforming materials properly. The assembler must follow production priorities, use personal protective equipment, and support plant initiatives such as 5S audits.Job Description
Essential Duties:
Comply with the work plan and priorities assigned by the Team Leader and the Production Coordinator.
Assemble products at different workstations according to the instructions provided in the drawings and the PCP (Process Control Plan).
Perform a visual inspection of the product, verifying that the assembly of the parts is correct.
Keep work areas clean and process Non-Conforming material (NC) daily.
Actively participate in plant initiatives.
Work completely from production tables and drawings.
Notify team leaders and/or the engineer of any NON-CONFORMING material or defective products.
Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), report unsafe situations, and keep the work area clean; apply the “Stop Work” policy when applicable.
Perform 5S audits in assigned work areas as required.
Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
Requirements:
High school diploma.
Knowledge of and compliance with production requirements.
Ability to read and understand drawings and procedures.
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to communicate with the Team Leader to report situations.
Team-oriented.
Must be available to stand and sit most of the time and walk occasionally.
Must be able to pull and push 20 to 40 pounds.
