Job Description Summary
The Quality Improvement Manager is responsible for executing the global Quality strategy within Repair Value Stream Supply Chain repair facilities. This role provides direct support to factory operations while delivering global leadership and technical expertise across the network. Responsibilities include deploying GE Vernova’s Zero Defect Framework and embedding Built-in Quality practices to ensure process integrity and product reliability. Key objectives are to drive measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, systematically reduce escaping defects and severe events, and lower the overall cost of poor quality through disciplined application of quality engineering methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive deployment of new Quality Initiatives across Repair Value Stream (VS) sites by establishing, standardizing, and monitoring processes designed to strengthen product and process quality.
- Implement and sustain robust Quality Systems across Repair VS sites, utilizing Value Stream metrics to detect systemic issues, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure corrective actions are executed.
- Engage in site operating rhythms to review key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze recurring themes, and lead targeted quality improvement actions across the value streams.
- Direct process and product improvement programs, ensuring adherence to methodical excellence and embedding best practices throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with the VS Quality Leader to build plant-level Quality Management System (QMS) expertise and conduct structured process quality audits as assigned.
- Partner with Manufacturing Quality teams to resolve customer quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
- Interface cross-functionally and globally within the Supply Chain to integrate QMS requirements into operational and business processes, ensuring compliance and alignment.
- Foster a culture of quality by driving effective communication, capturing lessons learned, and disseminating best practices across the Value Stream, Global Supply Chain, and Gas Power Business.
- Coach and mentor teams in advanced quality tools and methodologies, including 8D Root Cause Analysis, 5-Whys/3x5 Whys, PFMEA, and structured problem-solving techniques.
Required Qualifications
- BS Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical or related technical engineering background preferred.
- Min 7 years of Quality/Industrial experience
- Active listener with good communication skills in English.
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Certified Auditor
- Proactive with high level of integrity.
- Strives to achieve Project goals and Customer satisfaction.
- A team player with the ability to communicate effectively with crosses functional teams.
- Displays willingness to work in harsh environments on as needed basis.

The base pay range for this position is $104,600.00 - 174,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
