Job Description Summary
As a member of the Steam Turbine Commercial Operations team, you will be an active contributor to achieve Steam Turbine Core Service order intake targets. This role will require you to develop proposals/bids for Steam Turbine core services deals, participate in contract negotiation and to ensure compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop proposals for Steam Turbines Services deals including deals for Steam Turbine Spare Parts supply, Steam Turbine Services & Repairs; May negotiate with customers; ensure deals deliver shareholder value; drive competitive pricing. Responsible for compiling and submitting required tender documentation.
May simultaneously work on proposals for multiple small projects with low/medium risks and resource requirements.
Utilizes in-depth knowledge of own and others sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups. Uses analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy/strategy.
Can ascertain risks and opportunities of the deal and workout the mitigation plan.
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems with projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Ability to prioritize information for decision making. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
This will mainly be individual contributor role.
A job at this level requires strong interpersonal skills. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales & Proposals, preferably in Steam Turbine power services sector.
Engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
