Job Description Summary
Act as a change agent using the Toyota Production System Lean methodology to support the plant continuous improvement Journey.Perform continuous improvement and Kaizen events to eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and boost quality in the manufacturing process and product by applying the Lean principles and tools such as: 5S, Daily & Visual Management, Operators standard work, material flow and Just in Time (JIT).

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for plan, facilitate, execute or lead full week Kaizen events to improve the Safety, Quality, Delivery Productivity and Cost across the production lines and warehouse.
- Responsible to support the waste elimination and 5S programs across the shop floor.
- Responsible to develop, implement and update the operators standard work, including the cycle time study, line balance and demand level load.
- Support the team leaders to define, implement and sustain the daily management and assembly lines operational rhythm.
- Responsible to define, implement and coach the teams to sustain the visual management at the production lines.
- Responsible to prepare and update the Value Stream Maps (VSM).
- Perform 3P (Production Preparation Process) Kaizen events to design new assembly lines or improve the existing ones.
- Teach, train, coach, and mentor front line leaders and operators in the basic LEAN principles and tools.
- Share best practices across the areas and act as a conduit to accelerate improvements.
- Work closely with operations and advance manufacturing engineer teams to drive innovation and automation to the manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Engineer degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience as Lean engineer or Lean specialist applying the classical TPS (Toyota Production System) Lean methodology and approach.
- Lean Manufacturing – with proven experience leading or facilitating a Kaizen full week event based on the Toyota Production System methodology.
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Attended a Shingijutsu Kaizen event.
- Six Sigma Green Belt degree.
- Working an automated production environment with a continuous assembly moving lines.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
