Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Gas Power Software & Controls Solutions Projects & Services Leader, the Senior Digital Tools Leader – Projects & Services will serve as the strategic link between IT and the Projects & Services functional organization, including functional leaders, end users, and business stakeholders, across all platforms supporting the function.

This role is accountable for understanding and representing the business needs of the Projects & Services function, translating those needs into actionable requirements, and partnering with IT to ensure successful implementation and adoption of key tools, including but not limited to ServiceMax, Salesforce, SupportCentral, Smartsheet, Leankor, project management tools, and SIOP capacity planning tools.

Operating with a high degree of functional autonomy, this role requires strong organizational influence, business acumen, and a hands-on approach to change management and user enablement.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between functional leaders, end users, and IT teams for all platform-related initiatives.

  • Proactively engage stakeholders across the Projects & Services organization to identify pain points, process gaps, and

  • improvement opportunities within existing tools.

  • Gather, consolidate, and prioritize business requirements from functional teams and translate them into clear, structured

  • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).

  • Ensure business requirements accurately reflect operational needs, compliance standards, and strategic objectives of the

  • Projects & Services function.

IT Partnership & Implementation Oversight

  • Act as the functional liaison to IT, translating business needs into clear requirements that enable technical teams to design and deliver effective solutions.

  • Partner with IT through the full implementation lifecycle — including design reviews, configuration decisions, UAT planning, and go-live readiness — ensuring solutions align with functional expectations.

  • Review and validate IT-delivered solutions against approved BRDs to ensure business requirements are met before

  • deployment.

  • Provide functional input and sign-off on scope changes, feature releases, and system enhancements.

Regression & User Acceptance Testing

  • Lead and coordinate regression testing activities following system updates, patches, or new feature deployments.

  • Develop and maintain functional test scripts and test cases based on business processes and use cases.

  • Partner with end users and functional SMEs in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), capturing and communicating feedback to IT for

  • resolution prior to release.

End User Training

  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs for end users across the Projects & Services function on all supported platforms (ServiceMax, Salesforce, Dashboards, SIOP Capacity, etc.).

  • Create and maintain user-friendly training materials, job aids, quick reference guides, and standard operating procedures.

  • Tailor training delivery to varying levels of technical proficiency across the user community.

  • Support onboarding new team members and provide refresher training following system updates or process changes.

Tool Adoption & Change Management

  • Drive adoption of digital tools and platforms across the Projects & Services function through targeted engagement strategies, communication campaigns, and executive sponsorship alignment.

  • Track and report on adoption metrics, user engagement, and platform utilization; identify barriers to adoption and develop

  • mitigation plans.

  • Champion a culture of digital enablement and continuous improvement within the function.

  • Serve as an internal advocate for the value of the tools, helping users understand how platforms support their day-to-day work

  • and broader business goals.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor industry trends and platform best practices to proactively recommend enhancements that improve productivity, data

  • quality, and user experience.

  • Maintain a prioritized backlog of functional enhancement requests and work with IT to plan and schedule delivery.

  • Conduct periodic platform health checks and process audits to ensure tools continue to meet evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a functional, operations, or business analyst role within a services or projects environment

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience working with platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceMax, SAT, or PLM in a functional capacity (not necessarily an IT/technical role)

  • Demonstrated experience writing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) or functional specifications

  • Proven experience leading user training and enablement programs

  • Experience with UAT and/or regression testing coordination

Desired Characteristics

  • 10 years of experience within GE or GE Vernova business operations or services functions

  • Strong understanding of Projects & Services workflows, field service processes, and SIOP/capacity planning

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language and busienss needs into actionable requirements

  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive organizational change

  • Experience with change management frameworks and adoption measurement

  • High proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,200.00 and $173,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
