Job Description Summary
The Site Leader will have responsibility for setting the long-term growth strategy as well as providing cross functional leadership of a large vertically integrated manufacturing facility. This role will have accountability for meeting or exceeding manufacturing financial and key performance targets, sharing best practices, and facilitating employee engagement and an inclusive culture across the supply chain team and other site functional teams. The successful candidate will lead the transformation of the site to reach defined targets in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and drive actions to continuously improve key performance indicators.
Visible and active leader, promoting a working environment to achieve commitment and excellence in EHS, quality, customer service, engineering and productivity,
Provide leadership with awareness of employee needs at all levels of the site, ensuring employees are engaged and tied to the overall business strategy.
Leverage data and analytics (6-sigma, Lean management techniques, and fastworks) to approach problem solving.
Partner with site functional leaders to drive team collaboration and a cohesive site identity.
Partner with the global product line and commercial teams to coordinate priorities to ensure delivery of broader business objectives.
Coordinate preparation and communication of monthly site operational results to the product line and business leaders.
Own Capital Expenditure to get to necessary capacity and capabilities to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
Build and apply talent development plans, engage and retain hi-potential talent, and manage performance and career of both salaried and hourly employees.
Establish strong connections with the workforce and lead with compliant behavior and processes across the site.
Drive awareness and compliance with all government, customer and applicable policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 10 years of experience in shop operations management, materials management discipline, or business leader with operations oversight
5+ years leading teams over 100 employees
Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, standard cost systems, and lean management techniques
Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams
