Description:

The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Key responsibilities include:

l  Understand strategies for assigned commodities and proactively drive initiatives to meet sourcing objectives

l  Drive proactive involvement in all functional activities related to sourcing to ensure that sourcing has upfront involvement in all new programs and delivers strong value to the business 

l  Send RFQ packages to all potential suppliers and push to get quotes, place Purchase Orders (PO) timely and obtain PO acknowledgements from suppliers

l  Identify and develop new supplier, assess supplier capabilities and execute supplier approval if needed

l  Collaborate with manager in setting realistic and challenging operational goals, and contribute to their accomplishment

l   Forecast material pricing and take action to meet budgets and deflation targets

l  Implement sourcing standards including process & working instruction, synergies for cost out and fulfillment

Qualifications:

l  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with at least 3 years of experience in sourcing commercial activity

l  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

l  Passion for excellence with high integrity, commitment to cost and fulfillment

l  Strong oral and written communication skills

l  Teamwork spirit

l  Open to work with cross function
