Job Description Summary
Alle Ressourcen und die Logistik, die erforderlich sind, um Service- und Wartungsarbeiten vor Ort/auf dem Grundstück des Kunden durchzuführen. Diese Aktivitäten tragen dazu bei, verkaufte oder vorhandene Produkte zu warten, zu reparieren und zu überholen. Beinhaltet alle Arten von Wartungsdiensten (vorbeugende und reparierende), die Verwaltung von Wartungseinrichtungen und das Außendienst-Engineering. Beeinflusst Ansätze, Projekte und Programme im Funktionsbereich oder der betroffenen Unternehmensorganisation und die Arbeitsweise.Beeinflusst die Qualität, Effizienz und Effektivität des eigenen Teams.Hat wesentlichen Einfluss auf die Prioritäten.Geleitet von professionellen Praktiken und Richtlinien, die von der Rolle selbst geprägt sind.Die Rolle verfügt über eine moderate Autonomie und erfordert ein hohes Maß an operativem Urteilsvermögen.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Devise ‘Make or Buy’ strategies – should be able to take quick and calculated decisions on how much of Repairs/Manufacturing needs to be done in house and how much to outsource to align with the market needs.
- Should be capable to drive collaboration of new partners for Repairs of Large Rotating machinery by evaluating their capabilities, development interests and financial capacity.
- Act as the single point of contact to the customer for timely and satisfactory resolution of Pre-outage and Post Outage concerns on the installed fleet · Establish and maintain Customer connect to provide on-going technical and business support on installed fleet across India and few Designated Geographical areas
- Repair activities onsite and offsite co-ordination with cross functional teams – Engineering, Sourcing, Shop and Site Management (TFAs).
- Driving On time project deliveries by effectively expediting Repair Projects at our partner shops/sites
- Support Qualification and Quality control of all critical escalations and First of its kind jobs required to serve Repairs/Upgrades.
- Maintain project documentation and drive Lessons Learnt for executed Repair Projects
- Support Kaizen actions and Cost out to improve margins and hit rates on Repair Opportunities.
- Shall support all the Regional Sales leaders for generation of Opportunity Leads for Repairs.
- Should be able to define competency gaps in the Repair CoE, advise training programs for self-development as well as development members across functions.
Required Qualifications
BE/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- Should have about 10+ years of relevant experience in a Heavy Engineering industry.
Desired Characteristics
- Good understanding on Manufacturing of Large Steam Turbines/Generators (eg: rotors, stators, bearings, valves)
- Familiar to Repair and Maintenance practices on Large Steam Turbogenerating sets and parts.
- Ability to read and understanding Engineering drawings, I&T plans and Work instructions.
- Knowledge on Manufacturing processes eg: Welding, Machining, Heat treatment, Assemblies etc.
- Good understanding of Work/ time estimation and creation of activity based L3 schedule (preferably on Repair projects). A knowledge of packages such as MS Project is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook/communication packages for report making as well as day to day communication.
- Should be able to lead small cross functional teams by understanding job/process requirement, identifying right resources, communicating all stake holders effectively and following up closely to achieve targeted deadlines.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
