Job Description Summary

The Supplier Quality Technical Leader – Blades will work with wind blade suppliers to drive and maintain quality, lead supplier qualifications, drive improvements using supplier scorecards, and execute supplier audits ensuring compliance. They will work in close collaboration with Design Engineering, SQE and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team, Commodity Leaders, Buyers, Project Management, Customer Fleet Performance, and GE Vernova Wind Supplier Quality teams on all activities required to effectively support supplier quality activities for the Blade Component.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide quality and technical expertise and leadership for the Blades commodity.
  • Develop and implement best practices and standardization for the Blades commodity and across the organization.
  • Mentor SQEs
  • Act as focal point for field issues, escaping defects, and supplier quality issues.
  • Provide indirect leadership for sourcing quality metrics and strategy.
  • Assume ownership and support resolution of quality issues.
  • Identify needs and develop strategies for systematic sourcing quality issues.
  • Develop and lead APQP4Wind qualifications, process/product verification efforts, quality system audits, and supplier surveillance programs where needed.
  • Lead process improvement efforts to drive quality improvements and leverage statistical tools for evaluation of process capability on critical-to-quality (CTQ) part/component characteristics.
  • Participate in supplier design/engineering review and approval process and internal NPI (New Product Introduction) process.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA for process improvements, and preventive/corrective actions as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant technical field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality management experience, in manufacturing quality or supplier quality roles.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $108,800.00 and $181,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
