Job Description Summary
To ensure all commissioning and site activities are carried out to the highest standards of health, safety and quality, in full compliance with GE Vernova Grid and client policies, international standards and local regulations. The role encompasses both hands-on commissioning of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and the technical support of site teams, including the authoring of key engineering documents such as Methods of Statement, test procedures and risk assessments.Job Description
Operations:
• Accountable for the overall quality and integrity of the commissioning process for GIS installations
• Act as the on-site technical reference for field teams, subcontractors and client representatives
• Author, validate and submit Methods of Statement (MoS), test procedures, ITP, RAMS and Risk Assessments
• Perform and supervise commissioning activities: dielectric tests, functional tests, secondary injection and trip tests
• Inspect assembly, check gas levels and SF6 / alternative gas density
• Responsible for the raising, submission and site closure of NCPs (Non-Conformity Projects) and NCRs
• Liaise between the GIS product unit and the client on product and installation issues
• Manage daily field resource to maximise project success within agreed timescales and costs
• Responsible for timely production of progress reports and technical issue reporting to the Project Manager
• Ensure accurate on-site records, test reports, punch-lists and RFE (Ready For Energization) certificates are produced, filed and circulated in accordance with GE internal governance and quality plans
• Participate in and support SAT (Site Acceptance Tests) with the client
• Interact with the client for technical submissions and energization approvals
• Promote safe working practices and continual improvement of GE Vernova's site safety culture
• Shared responsibility for evaluation, appraisal and development of GEV and subcontractor technicians
Financial Control:
• Organise and execute work within agreed programme, timescales and costs

Qualifications / Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems
• 5 to 12 years of experience in HV commissioning, with proven hands-on experience on GIS
• Experience in authoring technical documentation (MoS, ITP, RAMS) is mandatory
• Knowledge of Belgian regulatory framework
