Responsable de la planification et/ou de l'exécution des opérations du département ou axé sur l'exécution d'activités professionnelles au sein d'une discipline technique. Fonctions dotées d'une certaine autonomie, mais guidées par les politiques établies ou l'analyse des résultats finaux.
Ce poste est autorisé à modifier les procédures et les pratiques en relation avec les tâches dans la mesure où les résultats finaux répondent aux normes d'acceptabilité (qualité, volume, respect des délais, etc.).

Due to the growth of our Grid business, we are currently looking for our next Junior Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) in the “Construction & Commissioning” function to participate in this energy transition for Central Europe.

About the Role

The Commissioning Engineer shall be responsible for testing and executing commissioning activities of various projects under execution in GSI, in line with GE Quality, Construction & Commissioning, and EHS processes and guidelines.

The position holder will execute of commissioning activities, preparation of documentation, and coordination with internal teams and customer representatives to help ensure compliance with contractual, technical, quality, and safety requirements.

The position holder reports to the Regional Commissioning Team Leader. The position requires 100% construction site presence during the execution phase. AC projects are located mainly in Germany, Netherlands, Poland and maybe located in other European countries too. The HVDC sites are located in Europe as well as in Asia for the platform construction.

Mission description

• Liaise with design office and PM team for timely issuance of data required for preparation of site works (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists, …)
• Prepare Commissioning documentation like ITPs, Checklists etc.
• Electrical and functional testing (hands on testing as standalone tester) of Primary and Secondary devices on the switchyards
• Publish test reports and follow up completion of relevant quality documentation. Complying with the contract requirements and the project Quality Plan
• Monitoring, recording and reporting of the given work progress
• Ensure all Testing & Commissioning activities are performed in accordance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

• You will actively advance the Energy Transition by bringing our AC, FACTS and HVDC projects to a successful completion with our customers
• You will support our Commissioning Department with your expertise and will develop yourself with the state of the art technologies

What You Bring

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
• Knowledge in elements of electrical substations: CT/VTs, Protection Relays, Control Systems, Transformers etc.
• Knowledge in Commissioning of Electrical Power Stations or HVDC Systems.
• Fluent in English, German and additional language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to work on construction sites in Germany and abroad, and optional assignments on offshore platforms.
• German driver's license class B
