Job Description Summary

We are seeking a driven Lead Electrical Module Engineer to lead the development and standardization of electrical control circuits and panel layouts for circuit breaker products.
In this role you will play a key part in creating reusable circuit modules, establishing design standards, and reducing engineering variation across the product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve design consistency, support production efficiency, and enable long-term automation, offshoring, and outsourcing strategies.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Define and document standardized base electrical circuits that will serve as the foundation of the platform across circuit breaker product types

  • Develop reusable and modular circuit building blocks that can be systematically configured to meet varying customer requirements while minimizing new design variation

  • Establish and maintain panel layout standards across product variants to improve consistency, reduce assembly complexity, and support repeatable production

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and commercial teams to ensure standardized designs meet customer, quality, and manufacturing requirements

  • Support wiring and manufacturing teams by improving design clarity, reducing rework, and driving first-pass quality

  • Identify opportunities to reduce part number proliferation and component variety through standardization of circuit and panel designs

  • Support offshoring and outsourcing initiatives by creating robust engineering standards and repeatable design practices

  • Contribute to design-for-automation initiatives as the platform and manufacturing processes continue to mature

  • Maintain engineering documentation and standards to ensure long-term sustainment and continuous improvement of the product platform

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical engineer in a manufacturing environment

  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing electrical control circuits, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and commercial functions

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior experience working with engineer-to-order products

  • Strong understanding of electrical standardization and modular design practices

  • Able to analyze customer specifications and translate requirements into scalable standard designs

  • Willing to work closely with production teams to troubleshoot technical issues and improve manufacturability

  • Experience supporting process improvement, standardization, or design-for-manufacturing initiatives

  • Proficient in AutoCAD or similar electrical design software

  • Prior experience with circuit breakers, switchgear, or related substation components is preferred
