Job Description Summary
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

- Monitoring & Planning on Global Procurement Solu on for Materials
- Daily Calls & Review on the Supply plan on the Weekly Shipments from Vendors
- Coordinating ng with Production on team on the Delivery commitment & Supply
- plan as against Scheduling
- Monitoring on Material optimization on Tool & Effectively using for the improvement
- Supporting Sourcing Team on the PPV parts for current Semiconductor shortages with vendors
- Coordinating with Global GE units to Manage the supply chain on the Global shortage parts
- Coordinating with Global Logis cs & Customs team to Prepare the documents & accounting of Materials & Invoice processing
- Payment reconciliation on with vendors for on me payments
- Responsible for the Inventory Targets on Monthly review to Reach the milestone with ac on plans
- Responsible for identifying the Runners & Repeaters & Strangers & Obsolete components to initiate actions to Plan to Mange inventory KPI
- Stabilizing Newly Developed sources For the Regular production items and Implementing New Concepts for Improvement in Delivery & reduction in lead me and managing Vendor Managed inventory @ vendor place
- Implementation of Lean Concepts in Production lines.
- Procurement of Fasteners and other BOF (Bought Out Finished)
- components such as Case assy. Control panels, Relay Assemblies
- Reviewing the purchase team for planning the material requirements.
- Monitoring and Controlling the Inventory By Means of Scheduling & Planning
- Developing Total Sub-assemblies at the supplier end by loca ng the Reliable
- Vendors and supporting them to Stabilize with our requirements
- Supporting the suppliers Technically and monitoring their Delivery ra ngs
- Reviewing & Coordination of the Stock status with Suppliers as well as with Sub suppliers for the Materials
- Continuous Monitoring of Delivery Performance and Quality ra ngs.
- Coordination with Quality Dept and Analyzing the Root causes of the
- problem at supplier ends and releasing RAR ( Rejection on Analysis Report) and
- Closing RAR at supplier end By Ge ng the Corrective and Preventive actions
- Monthly review Inventory Control Reviewing Product Based on Sales and Manufacturing
- Monthly reporting of Inventory, Slow moving, obsolete and inventory turns to Finance team to have be er control on the materials management
- Attending Weekly MPS Mee ng to support on the lead me on customer products
- Attending Monthly S&OP calls on the Monthly Sales & Quarterly Sales
Additional Roles in other Departments
- Coordinating with Other Finance & sourcing Auditors for the procurement function
- SAP Kanban /MM module Support to our Pallavaram team
- Sourcing team Support on the cost saving projects
- New Development support on Vendors/ Sourcing process
- Supporting Quality Department on vendor improvement process
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication with Minimum of 15 Years of Experience.
- Experience as a procurement manager or in a similar position.
- Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in SAP, MOS, 8D & Lean Tools
- Preferably certified Six Sigma Green Belt
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead the teams.
- Strong Knowledge in logistics management.
