Job Description Summary

The M&A Project Manager will be accountable to establish and mature the standard work, governance and execution framework for Digital Technology across all Electrification M&A activities. This role combines ownership of repeatable M&A processes, tools, and playbooks with hands-on leadership and support for active deals.

The individual will partner closely with Digital Technology teams, business stakeholders, Business Development, functional leaders and external partners to assess technology environments, identify risks and dependencies, estimate separation or integration costs and coordinate execution activities across M&A activities.

The role requires strong cross-functional leadership, structured problem-solving and the ability to operate effectively in both strategic planning and fast-paced transaction environments.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain and continuously improve Digital Technology standard work for M&A activities, including playbooks, Key Performance Indicators, deal checklist and due diligence questionnaires.

  • Develop and manage reusable tools and templates including business application assessment frameworks, cost estimation and tracking tools, integration and separation planning templates, governance and reporting mechanisms.

  • Define consistent methods for evaluating Digital Technology scope, complexity, risks and resource needs across transactions.

  • Build and maintain a structured approach for assessing application landscapes, data flows, interfaces, cyber security considerations, infrastructure dependencies, licensing impacts and transitional service requirements.

  • Ensure Electrification M&A standard work is applied correctly to M&A activities, incorporating improvements to the standard work where appropriate.

  • Serve as the key Digital Technology point of contact for M&A-related activities, from due diligence through to execution, ensuring effective coordination across Digital Technology teams, business application owners, enterprise architects, infrastructure, cyber security, data & analytics, Business Development, third party vendors and other stakeholders.

  • Assess target or in-scope environments to identify key applications, critical dependencies, integration requirements, separation challenges, operational risks and Day 1 readiness needs.

  • Develop high-level and detailed estimates for Digital Technology M&A activities and incremental run cost.

  • Support the creation of Day 1, interim state and end-state Digital Technology plans for M&A activities.

  • Monitor progress, escalate issues and support decision-making related to scope, risks, timing and resource constraints.

  • Prepare summaries, recommendations and executive-ready materials for stakeholders and governance forums.

  • Build strong working relationships with the GE Vernova HQ DT M&A team, Business Development, functional leaders, program leaders, business application teams and integration/separation management offices.

  • Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement activities following completed transactions to strengthen future M&A execution.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in 'STEM' field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

  • 5 to 8 years in Digital Technology, with experience in project management, enterprise applications, M&A integration/separation or a related field.

  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, separations, joint ventures or large-scale cross-functional transformation initiatives.

  • Experience coordinating work, influencing and driving alignment across multiple technology domains, business application teams and external stakeholders.

  • Strong project/program management, planning and organisational skills.

  • Experience developing and driving adoption of structured processes, templates, tools or standard work.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including cost estimation and risk assessment, with strong judgement and a risk-based approach to decision-making.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare executive-level summaries.

  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to balance strategic process development and tactical execution.

  • Able to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with changing priorities.

  • Collaborative, pragmatic and action oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • High integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

  • Work out of an Electrification office.

  • Required to travel 10-15% to support M&A activities.

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of enterprise application landscapes such as ERP, PLM, CRM, MES, HRIS, Finance, Supply Chain, Project Management and Services applications.

  • Experience with Transitional Service Agreements, Day 1 planning and post-integration activities.

  • Familiarity with cyber security, infrastructure, data management and application integration considerations in M&A contexts.

  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organisation.

  • Certified in Project Management methodologies and tools.
