Job Description Summary

GE Vernova have an exciting opportunity for a On Site Services Specialist to work for our Grid Solutions business in Athens, Greece.
You will bring all resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Job Description

• All on site life extensions, repairs and inspection-related service activities able to be performed at customer site.

• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialised technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.

• Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

• A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team or subcontractors’ teams when required. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE Vernova. Explains technical information to others.

• Eligible for overtime work according to projects’ needs and local labour regulations’ restrictions

Educational Requirements:

• Solid Electrical Engineering background.

• Basic experience in the Services & On-Site Services.

• Electrical Engineering Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or Technical Institute.

• Greek Language -> Native language

• English Language -> very good command in reading, writing, listening, and speaking
   

Experience·

• Experience in High, Medium or Low voltage electrical equipment erection, commissioning, maintenance and repair (specialty in HV AIS or GIS substations will be considered as plus)

• Computer Literacy -> excellent command

• SAP environment familiarity -> desirable
   

Additional Requirements:

• Strong technical background and potential for development of technical capabilities and field teams’ management.

• Solid EHS mindset with prioritization SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)

• Willing to develop, driving toward results and implementation of tight time schedules with safety, transparency, and integrity

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Greek energy market

• Knowledge of Grid Solutions or other business sectors within the organisation of GE Vernova

• Experience on EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) requirements and rules, risk assessment, good practices implementation, operational control of EHS at worksites

• Experience on HV substations activities technical aspects, electric equipment, and networks of high power >10 MVA, High, medium and low voltage  0-400kV
