Job Description Summary
Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose:
- Perform regular quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Use measuring tools and testing equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and quality.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste; input data into quality databases.
- Identify and report any non-conformities or deviations from standards.
- Work closely with production teams to provide feedback and resolve quality issues.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure final packing of component with final documentations
Safety:
- Strict follow all the safety procedures and JSA
- Maintain workplace orderly and responsible in disposing excess material
- Follow company policies and site rules
- Understand and comply with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals used braze application
- Segregate and dispose of spent media, contaminated rags, and chemical waste in accordance with environmental procedures and regulations
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, spills, near misses, and incidents.
Quality & Documentation
- Perform work in accordance with specified quality standards and tolerances.
- Inspect work pieces and ensure component are clean prior process
- Report defects, nonconformities, or material issues to the supervisor
- Complete basic production records, checklists, and log sheets as required.
Equipment & Tool Care
- Check tools before use; ensure they are in good condition and suitable for the job.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of PPE and equipment after use.
Requirements:
- Minimum SPM or equivalent; vocational/technical training is an advantage
- Experience working in an aviation MRO is a strong advantage for this position
- Advanced knowledge of measuring tools such as vernier caliper and equipment used in production and/or manufacturing
- Proven experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints.
- Competency with precision measuring instruments and tools.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP or quality management software
