Description de l'emploi
Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Senior Technical Leader to own the design, performance, and lifecycle of lubrication and cooling systems for onshore and offshore wind turbines (both geared and direct drive). In this role you will lead high-impact technical projects, resolve critical fleet issues, and drive improvements in reliability, availability, and cost of energy.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Integration
- Lead engineering for gearbox and bearing lubrication systems, generator and converter cooling systems, and related auxiliaries.
- Define system architectures, requirements, and interfaces across multiple turbine platforms.
- Ensure compliance with functional, thermal, hydraulic, mechanical, environmental, and grid code requirements.
- Lifecycle Ownership
- Own design, analysis, validation, and continuous improvement of lubrication and cooling systems.
- Support NPI, prototype and serial implementation, commissioning, and fleet issue resolution (e.g., oil contamination, overheating, wear, leaks).
- Drive standardization and modularization to reduce cost, complexity, and lead time.
- Collaboration & Supplier Management
- Work closely with platform, drivetrain, nacelle, tower, controls, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Services, and Systems Engineering teams.
- Support supplier selection, technical reviews, and qualification of key components (pumps, filters, heat exchangers, valves, sensors, etc.).
- Quality, Cost & Continuous Improvement

- Major engineering experience, including:
- Fluid systems and/or thermal management (e.g., lubrication, hydraulic, and/or cooling systems).
- Leadership of complex technical projects or system-level designs.
- Experience in wind turbine design or other power conversion systems, operation, or service, especially drivetrain, nacelle.
- Proven ability to drive projects to completion while managing technical risk and cross-functional interfaces.
- Strong background in fluid mechanics and heat transfer; experience with CFD, thermal-hydraulic, and/or FEA tools.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with experience mentoring engineers and working in an international team
Desired Qualifications
- Six Sigma training or equivalent structured problem-solving experience.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly of wind turbine components and relevant standards (e.g., IEC, DNV, GL).
