Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager for Unified Data Collector and Energy Management System (EMS) to join our DT team. This role will be responsible for driving the strategy, design, deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of digital solutions that enable reliable data collection, integration, and energy management across Electrification Segment. Acting as a bridge between digital technologies, operations, and business stakeholders, this person will ensure that Unified Data Collector and EMS capabilities deliver scalable, secure, and high-value outcomes. The role will support data-driven optimization, improve operational efficiency, and help advance sustainability and carbon reduction objectives through effective use of digital platforms, connected data, and analytics.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather Voice of Customer (VOC) requirements, refine needs, and obtain continuous product feedback for both the Energy Management System and Unified Data Collector scope.
  • Own and evolve product backlog priorities, ensuring alignment with business priorities, customer value, technical dependencies, and DT team objectives.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Technical Product Managers, architects, developers, UX, and data stakeholders to define, refine, and deliver features and products.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers on release planning, sprint planning, MVP definition, and quarterly roadmap execution.
  • Support the definition and delivery of capabilities related to Unified Data Collector, including data acquisition, integration, normalization, quality, and reliable delivery of data required by downstream digital applications and analytics use cases.
  • Ensure alignment between Energy Management System product capabilities and Unified Data Collector platform capabilities so that data collection, integration, and business outcomes are delivered cohesively.
  • Engage with development teams on a frequent basis to facilitate story refinement, clarify requirements, validate acceptance criteria, support testing, and contribute to design discussions and implementation decisions.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the technology stack, system architecture, and data flows, and apply that knowledge to product decisions and delivery trade-offs.
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of cloud services such as AWS or Azure to support the development team, contribute to scalable architecture discussions, and help shape practical technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with UX Design to better understand user behavior, elaborate personas, and ensure user-centered product development where applicable.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand operational needs, user pain points, and data consumption requirements across both solution areas.
  • Influence stakeholders, and internal product leadership through strong communication, data-driven decision-making, and clear articulation of product value and priorities.
  • Partner with Service Owners and Development Managers to ensure a healthy development process, effective delivery execution, and continuous improvement in Agile ways of working.
  • Collaborate with GE Vernova security, architecture, and platform teams to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and compliance requirements, including security scans, OSS reviews, SAST, DAST, and environment vulnerability management.
  • Support cross-team coordination for interfaces, integrations, and dependencies, especially where Unified Data Collector capabilities enable multiple products, systems, or digital platforms.
  • Contribute to the definition of product success metrics and help monitor feature adoption, operational effectiveness, and customer impact.
  • Apply Agile methodology and Product Owner best practices to maximize value delivery, team effectiveness, and alignment with strategic priorities.

Education Qualification

For roles outside USA:

Bachelor's Degree in with advanced experience + 10 years.

Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Familiarity with versatile implementation options
  • Demonstrates knowledge on technical topics, such as caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security
