Commercial Finance – GE Hitachi Nuclear
Michaela Walsh

In my role as a GE Hitachi commercial finance analyst, I collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop a Customer Value Model (CVM) tool and user guide, which models a customer's business case for investments in GEH-offered products/services. This tool helped to inform internal pricing decisions and facilitated external customer conversations for controls and power uprate opportunities. My rotation also included the engineering of a process for the go-forward billing relationship between GE Vernova & GE Aerospace at the heavily entangled Wilmington site. I regularly participated in weekly Commercial GEMBA and cross-business (GEH & Steam) strategy meetings and even initiated company and market research on a potential M&A move.

Supply Chain – Onshore Wind Services
Emily Getley

My role with the Onshore Wind Services team was unique in that it was much more operational focused. I was tasked with brining visibility to the inventory being used across all the service sites,  and the corresponding financial impacts. Based on the findings, I worked with the operations teams to drive operational change and improve our current processes. During this rotation Physical Inventory was being conducted across all the services sites in North America and Europe. I owned and helped coordinate the Physical Inventory reconciliation for both regions, explaining the variances to leadership on a weekly basis. A bonus part of this rotation was having the opportunity to travel to multiple service sites in Idaho, where another FMP and I were able to help conduct the count, as well as climb a turbine!

FP&A – Heavy Duty New Units HQ FP&A
Andrea Foresio

In my role with the HQ Income Statement team, I coordinated regional FP&A teams to drive pacing, planning, and closing cycles. I consolidated and analyzed estimates of operational and financial metrics, carefully monitoring key risks and opportunities, and presented these insights to the Global FP&A Leader. Our analyses played a crucial role in supporting the Senior Leadership Team's decision-making, helping to shape the short-, medium-, and long-term strategy for the Gas Turbines business.

Controllership – GAAP by Legal Entity
Michelle Reza

In my role in Controllership for the GAAP by Legal Entity team I was involved in the process of contract restatement that consists of reviewing all of the CSA contracts for Gas Power of the past year and make sure that all of the Billing and Costs of each contract are correctly allocated to the Legal Entity that corresponds to them and review the final Margin and Sales Price alongside the Stat and Tax Team. I had ownership of 57 contracts of the Americas region which helped me to deeply understand everything that happens behind a contract both in the financial and operational matters, as I worked close together with the OTR Team as well. During the rotation I learned the importance of presenting the correct financial information by Legal Entity and the use of historical information to explain current contract dynamics.
