The Financial Management Program (FMP) is an early career program for recent graduates who do have a passion for finance. FMP has equipped professionals with exceptional experiences, as it has accelerated corporate finance careers since 1914.
Throughout this two-year program you will experience four positions, which allows you to learn and develop multiple skills while finding a role that fits you the best. FMP develops world class, financial leaders for high impact positions. In this rotation, I was tasked with coordinating the forecasting data collection and consolidation of the weekly estimates from different regions and department ahead of the Monthly Operating Reviews with senior leadership. These reviews are critical with understanding business operations and pacing. I also ensured data accuracy for estimates, target year actuals and related variance analysis. I also supported the review of the consolidated case with regional CFOs, while performing internal reporting functions. I also worked with the IT teams to automate some of the initiatives to increase the efficiency of the forecasting process. Finally a large part of my role was participating in closing cycle activities as it related to daily ledger, data collection, and HQ submissions for reporting activities.

As an FMP situated on one of the Commercial Finance Teams, I work on technical and qualitative tasks alike while gaining valuable leadership experience. I work with Sales Directors & Account Managers to build out and understand the financial landscape to incorporate changes seen Month over Month and Quarter v Quarter while gaining in-depth knowledge to formulate the story behind our Risks & Opportunities. I work with the Portfolio Health team to mitigate and forecast Deals and Events which present Downside Risks that appear throughout the General Operating Cycles. I utilize GE's software NEX to track and handle Deals while monitoring key Deal metrics such as Commits, Sales, Convertible Margin (CM), and Cash to provide FP&A, Sales, Portfolio Health, and Supply-Chain Teams with the most up-to-date financials
