Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Conceptual or theoretical activities related to the design of wind turbines, supporting different disciplines across engineer with analysis and or simulations.
• Develop AI capabilities for enabling higher quality and timely positioning of next generation products.
• Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
• Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
•  1 to 3 years of relevant experience

 

Desired Characteristics

Experience with :

• Simulation platforms, structural and fluid mechanics, CFD etc
•  Coding and programming languages like C
•  Low fidelity solvers like BHAWC, Bladed, SIMPACK. Or medium fidelity like FEM solvers.
•  CFD solvers like Open Foan or ANSYS

Additional Information

 

 

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $80 000,00 and $120 000,00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
