The Civil Structural Engineer is responsible for the structural analysis and design of various structural systems and components (SSCs) within a Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). This role requires a strong understanding of the interactions among structural, mechanical, electrical, and piping components within complex plant systems. The engineer applies established engineering theories, principles, data, and methods to support the design and development of structural systems and components. Essential Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of senior and principal engineers, the engineer will perform the following tasks: Conduct system and plant operational functional requirements analysis.
Perform structural analysis and design of different structural systems and components of a nuclear power plant
Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis tools to develop the structural demands on different structural component
Perform seismic analysis and evaluation of different structural systems and components in NPPs
Support developing design and detailed drawings and specifications
Incorporate design requirements into analyses and design documents.
Deliver high-quality engineering documentation on time and in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
Operate effectively within established technical frameworks, quickly absorb new information, and make timely, sound decisions.
Communicate clearly through strong oral, written, and technical writing skills, with particular attention to detailed requirements, design, and descriptive documents.
Effectively prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines while demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.
Adapt to changing conditions, competing priorities, and unexpected challenges with flexibility and professionalism.
Maintain reliability through consistent attendance, openness to feedback, and a constructive attitude.
Build trust, support team members, and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree of Science in engineering
1 year of Finite element analysis (FEA) experience
Desired Characteristics:
Master degree in engineering
ANSYS APDL experience
understanding of steel concrete

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $72,000.00 and $108,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
