Job Description Summary

An experienced Civil Engineer to manage and oversee construction and building investment projects within Gebze Plant. This role will be responsible for planning, design coordination, execution, and delivery of plant infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Turkish regulations, safety standards, and company investment strategies.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead civil engineering activities for industrial plant construction, expansions, and modernization projects
• Manage building investment projects from feasibility through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Prepare and review technical specifications, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and cost estimates
• Ensure compliance with Turkish construction codes, zoning laws, and HSE regulations
• Supervise site construction works, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to timelines
• Conduct site assessments, soil investigations, and feasibility studies
• Monitor project budgets and control costs for capital investments (CAPEX)
• Review and approve drawings (AutoCAD, 3D models) and contractor submissions
• Manage permits, approvals, and liaison with local authorities in Turkey
• Identify and mitigate project risks and technical issues

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial construction or plant projects
• Strong experience in reinforced concrete and steel structures
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar engineering tools
• Solid knowledge of Turkish building regulations, standards, and permitting processes
• Experience in contract management and contractor supervision
• Ability to live in İstanbul and/or Kocaeli

Desired Characteristics:

• Verbal and written skills in English
• Experience working in manufacturing, energy, or heavy industry sectors
• PMP or equivalent project management certification
• Familiarity with international standards (e.g., Eurocodes)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders
