Job Description Summary

The Documentation Specialist – HVDC & FACTS plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, readiness, and compliance of commissioning and QA/QC documentation across complex global energy projects. This position supports project execution from site activities through final handover, with a strong focus on ITPs, ITRs, commissioning dossiers, and documentation standardization. The role also contributes to the development and maintenance of C&C reference solutions, offering broad international exposure and close collaboration with engineering, commissioning, quality, and project teams worldwide.

Job Description

1. Documentation Lifecycle & Quality Management

  • End-to-End Ownership: You will lead the creation, review, and management of all commissioning and QA/QC documentation (e.g., ITPs, ITRs, handover dossiers, and commissioning procedures).
  • Compliance & Standardization: You are responsible for ensuring all documentation meets contractual requirements, ISO 9001 standards, and industry-specific regulations (IEC, IEEE).
  • System Integrity: You will maintain document registers and audit-ready records using industry-standard platforms like Aconex, PIMS, or Autodesk Construction Cloud.

2. Project Execution & Site Support

  • Operational Integration: You will support site teams during critical project milestones, including Factory/Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT), pre-commissioning, and final energization.
  • Traceability: You must ensure that documentation keeps pace with physical project progress, ensuring that as-built drawings and test reports are accurate and readily available for site activities.

3. Global Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Cross-Functional Interface: You will serve as the primary point of contact between global engineering centers, regional project managers, clients, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies.
  • Multicultural Collaboration: You will manage document workflows (revisions, approvals, and submittals) across different regions and time zones, requiring strong communication and relationship-building skills.

4. Continuous Improvement & Strategy

  • Reference Solutions: Beyond daily execution, you will help develop and implement standardized templates and "reference solutions" to improve documentation efficiency across the company’s global project portfolio.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
  • Experience: 7–10 years in project execution, specifically within HVDC, FACTS, or large-scale EPC power projects.
  • Must be comfortable and experienced working with active project sites and the complexities of power substation environments.
  • A high degree of proficiency with document control software and the ability to interpret complex technical specifications and drawings.
