Creating 2D & 3D drawings of Standard /Special Power transformers based on customer’s specification and to prepare designs, calculations, drawings and bill of materials for procurement, quality, test and manufacturing functions

Job Description

Essential General Responsibilities

• Preparing mechanical drawings using CAD tools and engineering calculation methods.
• Following up the lifecycle of mechanical drawings from initiation to delivery to internal customers.
• Following non-conformance reports and taking necessary preventive actions.
• Preparing tender and/or contract mechanical design drawings in accordance with international rules, national standards, applicable GE standards and tools, material specifications (technical requirements, cost, procurement cycle), and manufacturing capabilities.
• Being aware of company and local EHS policies, rules, and standards; and performing preventive/corrective actions in collaboration with the EHS team to avoid accidents, incidents, and environmental damage.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum technical school graduation.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor.

Desired Characteristics

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience in transformer design processes.
• Experience in transformer mechanical design.
• Knowledge of power transformer design.
• Sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
• Comfortable writing technical reports.
• Ability to prepare conclusion and analysis reports.
• Ability to work effectively under time pressure in a complex organizational structure.
