General Description:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician will provide ongoing support for the plant's electrical maintenance systems, ensuring the highest safety standards and maximizing facility availability (uptime). The work is performed under the guidance and close supervision of the Site Electrical Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive & Routine Maintenance: Perform periodic inspections and maintenance on Extra High Voltage (HV), High Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV) equipment, control systems, HVAC, and Fire Detection & Suppression systems, according to the maintenance plan.
- Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve field electrical faults to Minimize Downtime and ensure operational reliability.
- Computerized Documentation: Manage and report work orders using the plant’s CMMS (Maintenance Software) and maintain organizational memory within the facility’s documentation systems.
- Contractor Oversight: Supervise all on-site work performed by third-party contractors, ensuring strict adherence to company protocols and engineering standards.
- Safety Excellence: Strict compliance with LOTO (Lock-Out Tag-Out) procedures and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for every task.
Requirements:
- Certification: Valid Certified Electrician License – Mandatory (Senior Electrician License – a significant advantage).
- High Voltage: High Voltage (HV) License – a major advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in industrial electrical maintenance, including the ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics (Experience in power plants or process industries – preferred).
- Languages: Native-level Hebrew; Good English (ability to read technical drawings, manufacturer manuals, and basic correspondence).
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel); ability to learn maintenance software and other site-specific systems.
- Availability: Ability to work in a 24/7 facility, including emergency On-call duties, weekends, and holidays.
- Standby Duty: Regular participation in a home-based standby rotation (according to the department schedule).
Personal Skills:
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work within a cohesive team with transparent communication toward management.
- Continuous Learning: A strong desire to learn and master the plant's unique electrical systems (self-learning capability).
Location: Residents of the Emek HaMa'ayanot / Jordan Valley area – a major advantage for rapid response
