Job Description Summary

The Configuration Management (CM) organization is responsible for transforming product requirements as well as engineering design intent into actionable product definition. Through utilization of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) GTCC tool and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) space, we are able to deliver on-time and quality product definition to supply chain functions globally. Gas Power Engineering (GPE) end customers are also partners and consumers of CM output.

Job Description

The Configuration Management - Execution team is focused on the creation and maintenance of the project structure and Bill of Materials (BOM) for New Unit Requisitions and Conversions, Modifications and Uprates (CM&U) projects from Order Release through the project/product lifecycles.

The Change Control Engineer will be a member of the Change Management team and will receive training on the tools and processes to manage changes for Flange to Flange (F2F), Accessories, Electrical and Controls scope for Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator, Heat Recovery Steam Generation (HRSG), Balance of Plant (BOP) and Aeroderivative products.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Validation of medium and low complexity changes to parts, Bill of Materials (BOMs) and documents – Reviews and approves Change Issues (CHGIs), Change Actions (CAs) and Unit Change Orders (UCOs) submitted to our Change Control Board (CCB) queue in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool across a minimum of two technologies (GT, ST, GEN, HRSG, Aero, BOP) according to Standard Work (SW), meeting the operational KPIs

  • Actively participates in continuous improvement (Lean) events when required

  • Collaborates in key business growth initiatives to increase productivity and eliminate escaping defects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Computer Science

  • Minimum number of years' experience: 1 year

  • Strong communication, ability to interface effectively with colleagues

  • Clear thinking, open to new ideas

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Familiarity with process use and development with regards to product definition development, Bill of Material management, configuration management concepts, program/project scheduling and field installation

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $72,000.00 and $108,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
