What impact you’ll make

Manage and coordinate the factory’s environmental programs and support the health and safety programs. Proactively identify issues, hazards, and nonconformities, and initiate and lead corrective and preventive actions. Support functions, departments, and Centers of Excellence (COEs) in executing EHS activities to achieve both departmental and site EHS objectives. Maintain high EHS standards on the shop floor and across related operations in alignment with EHS Framework elements and ISO 14001 requirements. Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations and GE policies and standards, and drive adherence across the organization.

Job Description

What you’ll do

• Continuous inspection, presence on shop floor in EHS perspective and maintain the fulfilling of high standard of EHS
• Preparing and sending the Annual Environmental reports to the relevant Authorities before deadline.
• Plan and execute regulatory required (based on measurement plan) and ad-hoc environmental measurements
• Support production with hazardous waste management
• Supervision of Waste Vendor Contractor employees on site
• Maintaining Environmental Permits, keeping permit register up to date, managing the extension of expiring permits, preparing permit requests to the Authorities, tracking them until completion.
• Development of EHS management system according to the Framework and ISO 14001 requirements
• Improvement and digitalization of EHS processes
• Improve EHS compliance and performance through audits, process reviews and site inspections
• Performing Environmental Officer tasks -  Fulfilment of tasks related to the operation of the Environmental Management System
• Conducting environmental, health and safety correlated training courses
• Follow up and support to close all ATS findings and Concerns for the area, fulfilling tasks in the Compliance Calendar
• Environmental project coordination

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

• BSc/MSc degree, environmental and/or safety specialization is advantage
• Relevant professional experience
• Industrial EHS experience is advantage
• Excellent written and spoken Hungarian
• Good English knowledge
