Job Description
In this role you will:
- Serve as the Main Point of Contact with the Project Engineering Managers (PEMs) for Control & Protection system Engineering point of view
- Manage and lead the team to successfully execute close-out activities that maximizes HVDC availability, ensures rapid restoration, and creates long-term value for customers through reliable service.
- Capturing Workload forecasting and assign & monitor the resource loading
- Coordinates all After-sales engineering activities and ensures follow-up & closure of open technical items
- Making sure all the processes related to After-sales are up to date and followed
- Provide technical leadership, advice and assistance to the overall aftersales team.
- Lead and motivate a group of technical people.
- Day-to-day interaction with different functions and joint problem solving within the team for efficient collaboration and continuous competency development.
- Act as a problem solver and take responsibility for control & protection along with automation of HVDC solutions.
- Support strategic & improvement initiatives from Aftersales point of view.
To be a successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience in an engineering & project leadership environment
- Experience in application engineering in one or more fields, from controls engineering, protection, automation, HVDC, and grid connected systems
- Experience in project execution of HVDC or similar
- Experience of design and system integration working on complex multi-disciplinary projects
- Controls & Protection of HV & LV system
- Experience of owning the job, making it their own, and adding value beyond
- Capable of leading large multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to multi-task on a variety of tasks to strict time scales
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
- Customer-centric mind set, experience in translating customer issues / needs into profitable business solutions
Qualifications
- Min Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Project Management & equivalent degree with suitable industry experience.
- At least 8 years’ experience in Control & Protection system and have strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to identify and manage team organisational risks.
- Proven skills in managing and leading team with strong technical background
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work to deadlines under pressure whilst maintaining the safety, quality, and engineering integrity of the solution.
- Must be flexible with working hours and willing to travel globally.
