Job Description Summary

The Inspector in the Quality Department performs product assessments and dimensional measurements on components, turbines (steam and gas) and generators. Providing the final point of inspection for the products and maintaining reports and performance metrics. The candidate will work within the current quality team reporting directly to MSC Quality Leader

Roles and Responsibilities

• Capable of performing inspections on incoming parts and raw materials, utilizing appropriate tools such as variable gauges, hand tools, and vision systems.

• Conducts Hardness testing

• Perform visual inspection

• Takes dimensional measurements

• Tracks standard and I&T Plans and supporting QC records

• Releases product for shipping by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.

• To work closely with production personnel carrying out first off, final, and random inspections using FARO Mechanical inspection equipment

• Provide training and guidance to inspect using best practice

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanic and Quality, or a related field.

• Experience in Inspector in the Quality.

• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
