Job Description Summary

As an Intern in the Gas Power Steam Services ITR Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of our Steam Turbine Engineering. You will focus on developing and implementing AI-driven applications designed to enhance engineering productivity, improve product quality, and accelerate delivery cycles. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply cutting-edge Machine Learning and Data Science techniques to real-world power generation challenges, directly contributing to cost reduction and the global energy transition.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Be a part of team to support development using ML and Generative AI technologies including but not limited to LLMs and Vision Models
  • Work effectively on an assigned project in the field of Steam Turbine engineering application development.
  • Work closely with the design community to identify business needs, create a problem statement, & develop functional specifications and support software development.
  • Work closely with an identified mentor on an allocated project, make presentations.
  • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with organization policies and procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Working towards Bachelors/master’s in computer science (Specialization in AI/ML and Data Sciences).

Skill Set requirements:

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python with analytics skills and exposure to web services.,
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms and computer architectures with ability to write highly optimized code.
  • Experience with data modelling and applied mathematics.
  • Experience building models with deep learning frameworks to find solutions to that data that represent approximately to a partial differential equation data.
  • Experience development and deploying models with Flask, Django, AWS, Azure, or other cloud services.
  • Knowledge of relevant statistical, mathematical, and computational concepts.
  • Ability to collaborate with others, work in a team, maintain a respectful working environment.
  • Strong written, composed verbal communication, presentation and organization skills.
  • Curious disposition that allows you to think both critically and outside the box.
  • Interest in learning the latest technologies and methods in this space and orientation to research, find new/unconventional ways to solve complex problems.
