Job Description Summary

The GE Gas Power Component Development Testing (CDT) team is responsible for designing and developing advanced test rigs to validate new technologies for GE Gas Power, GE Vernova businesses, and external customers. The team develops full-scale and scaled-down test rigs, including rotating rigs, stationary rigs, high-temperature rigs, and high-pressure rigs, all equipped with sophisticated instrumentation to support accurate and reliable testing.

In this role, the candidate will work closely with PLs, TLs, stakeholders, and design engineers to support the design, development, manufacturing, and commissioning of a wide range of test rigs. The position also involves contributing to the development of strategies for future testing opportunities.

The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders through all phases of the project lifecycle, including evaluation, planning, and execution, to ensure effective and smooth project delivery. The role will also involve identifying technical and commercial risks during the proposal stage for new RFQs, ensuring that potential challenges are recognized and addressed early in the process.

Additionally, the candidate will be expected to solve complex numerical problems, develop engineering tools from first principles, identify lean opportunities, and take ownership of technical challenges as needed. The role includes mentoring young engineers and lab technicians while fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes.
