Job Description Summary
Responsible for evaluating and improving exhaust system design and operation and leading the design and assessment of Hot SCR systems in power plants. Collaborates across Gas Power to identify, manage, and mitigate risks while driving proactive product and process improvements. Also leads standardization efforts and trains new team members joining the team.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of Hot SCR and exhaust scope projects, applying sound engineering principles and ensuring compliance with business standards, procedures, and product/program requirements.
- Lead tender efforts for Hot SCR scope of work and partner with Sourcing to drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop best practices and drive standardization to support GE Vernova’s leadership strategy in Hot SCR technology.
- Apply engineering judgment and technical expertise to propose innovative solutions for complex manufacturing, site, and factory issues.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to reach the most optimal technical and business decisions.
- Act as a technical resource for less experienced colleagues, sharing knowledge, building capability, and supporting team alignment.
- Stay current with the latest technical developments and contribute to strategy and policy development within the area of responsibility.
- Foster strong global teamwork and collaboration across teams and functions.
- Promote a curiosity-driven mindset to improve products and processes and better support customers.
Required Qualifications
- For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Accessories. Knowledge level is comparable to a master's degree in mechanical/chemical engineering from an accredited university and 5 years of work experience.
- For roles in USA - Master's degree from an accredited university in Mechanical/Chemical engineering with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
