Job Description Summary

You will be responsible for delivery of highly complex, large scale and international HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) tenders (contracts >700MUSD). In
addition, you may also manage few small to medium size tenders as a support to project team (variation order on existing contracts, etc.) or business development team (pre-qualification, etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop HVDC proposals for APAC region; may negotiate with customers; ensure deals deliver shareholder value; drive competitive pricing. May include compiling and submitting required tender documentation.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of own and others sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups and uses analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy/strategy.

  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

  • Build and manage tender schedule, lead tender reviews, monitor and report on tender progress. Identify and report any issue or deviation to bidding strategy in a clear and anticipated manner. Propose mitigation actions based on experience and implement corrective actions.

  • Build up the cost estimate, ensure all costs are properly validated and adequate risks provisions are considered for projects. Establish a realistic target cost at early stage of the tender

  • Ensure adherence to tendering procedures and tools, all relevant tender approvals and gates should be obtained and recorded in a timely manner. Also, ensure that all comments received during
    the Tender Approvals are recorded and addressed before submitting the proposal.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or proven experience of equivalent level.

  • At least 10+ years of experience in successful management of complex tenders (or project) of medium to large scale, including sound understanding of commercial management and contract terms.
