Based in our office in Budapest, Hungary, the Supplier Quality Inspector for Mechanical components will drive the Quality with assigned EU suppliers. The role will entail close alignment with Sourcing, Engineering and Quality functions, as well as with other key stakeholders, and will be focusing on electrical materials.

You'll manage dynamic priorities, necessitating minimal guidance, and emphasize effective communication with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and suppliers

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead supplier inspection strategy and execution for critical mechanical components, ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational performance
  • Provide expert review and interpretation of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality requirements to validate manufacturing and inspection conformity
  • Own the preparation, oversight, and validation of inspection reports, test documentation, and quality records, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and readiness for audits or customer review
  • Act as the senior on-site quality representative at supplier facilities, serving as the key point of contact and influencing supplier decision-making and issue resolution
  • Partner with Sourcing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance leadership to align supplier quality objectives with project, business, and customer expectations
  • Drive strategic supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives, with a strong focus on quality performance, on-time delivery, process capability, and risk reduction
  • Provide oversight on compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements, while supporting advanced validation activities including NDT processes and qualifications
  • Identify quality risks proactively, escalate critical issues when needed, and implement mitigation plans to protect project execution and product integrity
  • Mentor and guide supplier quality practices by promoting best-in-class inspection standards, problem-solving discipline, and a culture of continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Engineering Degree OR equivalent experience/knowledge with a Technical Diploma (Technician).
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in Quality Inspection or Manufacturing activities of Mechanical components.
  • NDT certifications (VT, PT, MT, UT)
  • Knowledge of international standards (such as ISO, DIN).
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Valid driver's license (category B) with driving experience
  • Professional Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and teamwork abilities; proactive, quality-focused mindset.
  • Traveling: Ability and willingness to travel within Europe as required (min 30%).
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and a passion for quality.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and global team environments
  • Personality: Highly self-motivated, ethical

  • Hybrid - 2 office days/week - applicable upon Employer and People Leader permission
