Job Description Summary

The Global Litigation Paralegal role will be an integral part of the GE Vernova Global Law & Policy Corporate team and report to Senior Litigation Counsel for GE Vernova. The Global Litigation Paralegal will be an integral part of a team leading the company’s response to litigation and dispute matters globally and across all of GE Vernova’s business segments and will provide support to the attorneys managing litigation across the business segments, including assisting with essential reporting obligations, maintaining litigation data, performing factual research, assisting with e-discovery and other substantive projects.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and support high value reporting to senior leadership, auditors and Board of Directors 
  • Interface directly with senior members of other departments, outside counsel, government agencies and vendors regarding a variety of issues 
  • Maintain, coordinate and develop internal databases of litigation data, and compile and synthesize various data sources 
  • Coordinate and respond to subpoena requests 
  • Handle document retention / collection / production processes for lawyers (in coordination with discovery experts) and custodial witness interviews
  • Assist in drafting legal and other documents and correspondence  
  • Perform factual and legal research 
  • Handle billing for outside counsel and other legal vendors 
  • Manage matter management system and ensure appropriate reporting of case data across the company 
  • Track spend vs budget and maintain accurate financial reserve tracking, interfacing with other departments as necessary
  • Track and manage key performance indicators on litigated matters
  • Manage documents and files in connection with litigation 
  • Assist with other programmatic support, including training, conferences, data analytics and administrative tasks   
  • Spearhead special projects  

 

Qualifications / Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably with in-house legal experience 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and proficiency in Microsoft 365 collaborative and analytical tools (i.e. PowerBI, SharePoint/Teams)
  • Demonstrated record of preparing clear and creative PowerPoint presentations, proficient in SmartSheet and an interest in learning other computer applications 
  • Experience in creating, maintaining and analyzing databases of litigation data from a variety of different resources
  • Hands-on experience using AI-driven legal tools; dedicated to continuous process improvement and eager to innovate new ways to leverage emerging technology to enhance productivity and output.
  • Preference will be given to candidates based in the Cambridge, MA area. We are open to considering remote arrangements for highly qualified applicants residing in other locations.
