Job Description Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer will be focused on the Turbine Assembly Shop areas to establish internal processes that safely ensures the production of high-quality products that meet compliance and project requirements. Drive continuous improvement across the product lines by owning project timelines, improving cycle & cost, and resolving technical/process issues. Lead, influence, and effectively interface with manufacturing and other support teams to complete projects to meet EHS, production, quality, and cost savings goals within schedule and budget.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead improvement efforts for equipment reliability, process controls, and ergonomic solutions
Manage and lead projects and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with plant metrics
Own execution of capital investments delivering desired outcomes on schedule & within budget
Coordinate strategy and execution of new products being manufactured in Greenville
Work cross-functionally to support LEAN activities and new technologies
Ownership of unit specific shop floor drawings and Bill of Materials documents utilized by production team
Provide technical leadership and support for training of machinist across areas of expertise
Maintain and improve process documentation to ensure consistent quality.
Implement and maintain 5S solutions in assigned areas; drive culture change
Drive improvements partnering with outside vendors to improve consumable cost
Develop machine, fixture, and tooling strategies for new product introduction
Develop & maintain work instructions (methods) & shop floor routings/steps to support operator/assembler training and process control
Collaborate with engineering to help drive design improvements
Mentor others in area of expertise
Coordinate and schedule suppliers to support unit ship and preservation operations.
Coordinate with logistics team on Gas Turbine shipments to customers
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing
2 years of manufacturing experience
Desired Characteristics
Degree in Engineering
CAD and Model Based Engineering Definition experience
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
Engineering experience a plus
Analytical problem solving skills.
Proven analytical and organizational ability.
Comprehensive in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles in the own part of the function.
Strong knowledge of technical concepts in technologies that intersect with own technical space.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $76,300.00 and $114,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
