About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Manufacturing Operator to join our Manufacturing Operations team in Stafford. Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will play a key role in the assembly and inspection of products, ensuring daily production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
This role is essential in supporting efficient manufacturing operations and ensuring products are built using the correct tools, current build standards, and approved process documentation.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensuring daily production targets are achieved, including supporting shift requirements where necessary
  • Carrying out assembly and inspection activities in line with standard operating procedures
  • Maintaining responsibility for the build quality of products
  • Using the correct tools, equipment, and current process documentation during all assembly activities
  • Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of workstations
  • Checking equipment compliance including BV inspections, calibration, and PAT testing
  • Supporting additional duties across the manufacturing facility as required
  • Carrying out 5S inspections and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Following all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures and GE Vernova safety guidelines
  • Working collaboratively within the manufacturing team to meet operational goals

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 5 years experience within a light mechanical assembly or similar manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team-based environment
  • Good understanding of manual handling and workplace ergonomics
  • Ability to follow written standard operating procedures independently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and results-driven approach
  • Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
  • Proficient in written and spoken English

Desirable Skills & Knowledge

  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Knowledge of Kanban and Flow/Pull manufacturing techniques
  • Mechanical or electrical aptitude
  • Knowledge of VAV and LOTO procedures
