Job Description Summary
Team Lead I&C Maintenance is responsible for managing all aspects of I&C Maintenance of complete plant through Contractor’s Staff and/or Customer’s Workforce to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operations.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the I&C maintenance team in daily maintenance activities.
- Develop, oversee, and coordinate plant I&C maintenance activities.
- Plan and inspect completed work on plant equipment.
- Maintain records and prepare work-related reports.
- Acquire knowledge of relevant mechanical and electrical processes and systems throughout the plant and apply it to troubleshooting, directing the maintenance team to resolve the problem.
- Assign general, preventive, and corrective I&C maintenance tasks to maintenance technicians.
- Promote succession planning and development within the I&C area.
- Train the I&C maintenance team in preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with managers and team members, both verbally and in writing.
- Coordinate all maintenance activities with the customer, contractors, other GE Vernova divisions, and/or affiliates. • Execute work orders through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and coordinate within the team to complete the work and address technical issues.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager and Planner in planning and scheduling outage work, taking into account the annual scheduled maintenance plan.
- Assess the plant's needs for spare parts and supplies and generate material requisitions.
- Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing for inventory management.
- Control plant inventory through the CMMS.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of EHS policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
- Evaluate, plan, and actively participate in plant maintenance.
- Assist and coordinate with the EHS Specialist on all EHS activities, including policy/procedure implementation, inspections, and audits.
- Ensure compliance in all areas with health, safety, and environmental programs and procedures, as applicable to maintenance activities. To maintain records, prepare reports and compose correspondence relative to work.
- Develop training plans for team members.
- Control all maintenance documents as described on the Controlled Documents Master List website.
- Maintain 24/7 availability to receive emergency calls from plant staff according to the on-call schedule.
- Manage P&IDs.
- Identify plant improvements.
- Coordinate with other departments such as Purchasing, EHS, Quality, etc.
- Complete assigned training within the established timeframe.
- Submit approved tasks to your Manager via the On-the-Job Training (OJT) tracker.
- Lead, supervise, and manage the activities and resources for the maintenance and/or repair of all I&C equipment, following GE VERNOVA best practices.
- Train, supervise, and manage the activities and resources of employees for the maintenance and/or repair of all I&C equipment, following GE VERNOVA best practices. • Lead by example, educate colleagues about availability and guide colleagues on the use of the HR service, benefits, career and payroll tools.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical or electronics engineer, or graduate in a related field from an accredited university or institution, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in combined cycle power plants or a minimum of 5 years in a plant maintenance team supervisor role.
- Tertiary degree from an accredited college or institution with a minimum of 5 years of experience in combined cycle power plants or a minimum of 8 years in a plant maintenance team supervisor role.
- Minimum three years of O&M experience at GE Vernova F Class Gas Turbines is a must
