The Process Engineer will report to the Process Engineering Manager.
Job Description Summary
Within the L5 Component Repair Insourcing Program, the Process Engineer – Machining will be responsible to manage and lead all the technical & operational activities linked with Machining Equipment’s, industrialization, programing within the Port Klang (Malaysia) shop.The Process Engineer will report to the Process Engineering Manager.

Essential Responsibilities
- Machining (Turning, Milling, Grinding, Drilling, EDM). Become an Aero Alliance technical reference point for all the machining processes.
- Programming: Write, modify, and optimize CNC programs to machine complex parts efficiently and accurately.
- Define Engineering Spec to purchase Equipment, as per routings defined by Repair Engineering.
- Technical selection of Farm-out company to support business continuity plan and manage load peaks.
- Documentation: Writing and maintaining accurate records of machining processes, inspections, maintenance, programming changes and operation procedures.
- Industrialization of everything connected with the NTI (pre-setting, CAD/CAM software, tooling manufacturing, process quality engineering)
- Quality Control: Perform inspections and measurements of machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to CNC operations, tooling, and programs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration of CNC machining processes into overall production workflow.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining accuracy, efficiency, and overall quality.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in machining and CNC programming.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CNC programming, strong understanding of machining processes, and familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Capability to prioritize business requirements and to efficiently manage assigned budgets.
- Full availability to travel for business purposes world-wide.
- Previous experience in technical selection of new equipment / Industrialization.
Would likes
- Proven years of experience in component manufacturing or repair and overhaul environment with one or more of the following turbo-machinery: Aeroderivative gas turbine, Heavy Duty gas turbines.
- Extensive experience within GE / BH repair business
