We specialize in the end-to-end execution of large-scale infrastructure projects, from high-voltage transmission to digitalization and protection controls. By integrating advanced technology with rigorous operational excellence, our teams ensure that power grids across the globe remain reliable, resilient, and ready for a renewable future.

As a Project Cost Control Manager (m/f/d), you will ensure the financial integrity and predictability of complex, multi-site electrification and grid projects. You will act as the commercial bridge between Engineering, Procurement, Planning, and Finance to drive profitability, maintain cost-schedule integration, and provide early-warning visibility for project leadership.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Framework Ownership: Lead the end-to-end cost control lifecycle, including budget establishment, CBS structures, and cost-coding standards in alignment with corporate governance.
  • Financial Forecasting & Analytics: Deliver accurate Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) and Estimate-to-Complete (ETC) forecasts. Perform trend, variance, and burn-rate analyses to detect and mitigate financial risks.
  • Integrated Project Controls: Partner with Planning to ensure seamless integration between costs and Primavera P6 schedules, utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) to measure performance.
  • Change & Risk Management: Quantify and track all variations and commercial events. Maintain the cost-risk register and drive proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Lead cost presentations for Monthly Project Reviews (MPR) and steering committees, ensuring transparency in financial impacts and performance metrics.
  • Process Excellence: Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of cost workflows (Power BI, SAP/ERP) to increase forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with financial training, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or any related degrees (Master’s degree is an advantage).
  • AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or equivalent professional certification is required / strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in project cost control for large industrial, EPC, transmission, HVDC, infrastructure, or energy projects.
  • Strong expertise in cost management and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced Excel / Power BI capability for analytics and visualization.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Comprehensive understanding of WBS / CBS structures, performance measurement, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Demonstrated capability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and operate within multicultural environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Curious, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing in cost management practices.

Why Join Us? This is a high-visibility, strategic role within a global leader in the energy transition. You will have the autonomy to influence project strategy and the support to drive innovative, data-driven cost control practices.

What We Offer:

  • Extensive opportunities for personal and professional development
  • A permanent employment within a rapidly growing company
  • Flat hierarchies and a pleasant working atmosphere and company culture
  • Attractive compensation and company social benefits
