Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Region Leader, APAC Grid Systems Integration (GSI), the Project & Operations Manager is a hybrid role that works closely with Project Management teams for end-to-end project delivery as well as provide close support to the Region Leader in day-to-day and strategic matters.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Project Management
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of projects execution and deliverables. Special attention to large and complex HVDC projects where PDGs are involved.
- Work with the stakeholders on operational execution and support leadership teams while ensuring strong corporate and compliance governance.
- Track project progress, prepare status reports and present updates to stakeholders. Mainly working closely with PMO and particularly for large and complex projects.
- Identify risks, issues and dependencies and recommend mitigation plans.
- Manage project documentation, budgets, procurement and vendor coordination.
- Drive operational efficiency and compliance to ensure continuous improvements in project processes and workflows. Focus on lean and its strong implementation in the region.
Business Operations
- Operate alongside the Region Leader on selected priorities and initiatives namely, Marketing and Communications, Strategic BD activities, coordination with some key global functions. Coordination on various country council and progress monitoring.
- Data gathering, coordination and follow up discussion with stakeholders and advise the Region Leader on the risks, issues and dependencies proactively
- Ensure continuity of business operations by acting in the absence of the Region Leader on designated matters. Manage stakeholder coordination and follow-up
- Represent the business leader in meetings and cross-functional discussions. Act as a point of contact on behalf of the business leader. Operates with delegated authority on operational matters.
- Drive strategic initiative and follow up on key initiatives. Monitor progress against business objectives and KPIs
- Ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables
- Support people and resource planning
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Project Management with at least 10 years of relevant experience. Masters in Business preferred.
- Proven experience in project coordination/management and business operations
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent follow up skills and possess the ability to navigate organization complexities
- Strong learning agility and active listening
- Strong interpersonal skills, written & oral communications skills
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
