Let’s Talk about the Role
The Project Manager – Grid Automation will lead the delivery of customer projects from transfer through to final acceptance, helping to protect customer satisfaction, margin, and project performance.
You will manage a portfolio of active projects in grid automation, protection and control systems, and related services and products. You will keep delivery on track across commercial, technical, financial, and operational areas, while building trusted customer relationships and coordinating closely with internal teams to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Leading projects through all stages of delivery, from transfer and planning to commissioning, warranty, and close-out.
- Managing customer expectations by acting as the main point of contact for contract execution.
- Coordinating with engineering, logistics, sourcing, procurement, and finance to keep delivery aligned and efficient.
- Monitoring project performance, including cost, cash, margin, schedule, safety, and quality.
- Preparing clear forecasts, reports, and project reviews to support decision-making and business performance.
- Supporting continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and helping strengthen team capability.
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with company processes and standards.
Special Role Requirements
- Some travel, typically around 10–15%, may be required.
Skills for Success
You should be a confident, delivery-focused project professional who enjoys working with customers and cross-functional teams in a technical environment, with:
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and keep complex projects moving forward.
- The capability to communicate clearly and build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- An understanding of project controls, financial tracking, and commercial delivery.
- An expertise in leading project teams and coordinating across technical and business functions.
- A keen interest in grid automation, protection and control systems, or energy infrastructure.
A formal education in a relevant technical or business subject is nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
