The CCS Design Engineer is responsible for executing engineering activities for assigned projects while meeting quality, cost, and schedule requirements. This role includes carrying out project engineering and design activities in accordance with the CCS Engineering Process, implementing the design change process, and supervising and coordinating all engineering activities necessary for project execution, whether performed in-house or by suppliers/subcontractors. The CCS Engineer also ensures compliance with project technical specifications and the defined scope of work. The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall performance of CCS engineering activities for assigned projects and will coordinate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Execute the Design and Engineering activities for the Protection, Control & Metering Panels of EHV/HV Substation adhering to the Quality, Cost and on time delivery criteria.
• Understanding the project technical requirement Customer Standards and specification and proposing the solution to customer as per the project scope. 
• Performing the technical calculation for panels AC/DC Load, CT/PT Sizing & its Adequacy and Relay Setting.
• Selection of Protection Relays and other auxiliary materials as per project technical specification and customer requirement.
• Preparation/Reviews and submission of the complete detail design of the project to customer and its follow-up for approval.
• Preparation and coordination for all applicable Manufacturing documents required for panels integration with relevant stakeholders of the project.
• Support factory during Panels Integration and FAT and clarify/close any raise comments/snags during FAT.
• Control projects effectively in terms of budgeted profitability, planning, and general reporting (internal / external). Ensure that agreements with customer for documentation lead times, delivery, reliability, and quality are achieved within the budgetary constraints agreed within the Unit.
• Analyze customer technical requirements, and preparation of the compliance, and highlighting the potential risk/exception in the projects.
• Raise Change request for any such requirements which are not as per the project specification.
• Validate design throughout customer acceptance and check consistency of engineering documents before final release to customer by evaluating the customer requirements & associated impacts.
• Work for the cost optimization during the project’s execution through standardization and out of the box ideas, starting from the base design phase till the energizing stage.
• Review & validate the technical offers from suppliers, Support Procurement during commercial negotiation for POs issuance and during post order stage. 
• Support site team during commissioning stage, clear site snags, and on-time respond for site comments/clarification.
• Demonstrate EHS compliance and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team and set an example by demonstrating the proper acts and actively observe work conditions and behaviors, giving constructive feedback and celebrating EHS effective prevention.
• Effectively communicate directly with customers to ensure excellent customer service and to build and maintain customer intimacy.
• Works with application team to address any product issues and provide the solution to the customer.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related discipline from a reputed university
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in HV/EHV substation engineering & design
• Knowledge of GE Products
• Knowledge of Substation Automation System
• Experience with Industries and Utilities in Saudi
• Ability to read, interpret tender/contract documents, schematics, procedures and policy guidelines.
• Ability and willingness to travel across the region.

Eligibility Requirement:

• Applicants must have the legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restrictions.
