Job Description Summary
You will lead the team to enable successful Fixed Series Capacitor (FSC) and Synchronous Condenser (SC) project delivery for global FACTS projects. Scope of team responsibility includes projects’ control software design, simulations, implementation, studies, verification and commissioning activities. Your daily work will be interacting with Design Team members, other global engineering teams, Project Managers / Project Engineering Managers, Tendering and NPI (New Product Introduction) program leaders.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- People Leadership for the team including development and reviews
- Participate in projects’ schedule planning and ensure resource availability
- Support and drive team on achieving project delivery targets
- Mentor first-time-right culture and development of skills
- Responsible for leading overall requirement, design, implementation, and validation of software design for both FSC and SCs.
- Develop and implement software design processes and tools for world class global projects, service and compliance
- Review and approve design documents, implement, and ensure quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost
- Continuously improving the product in terms of delivery speed, stability and reliability
- Provide technical guidance that influences outcomes to other people, supporting moderate complexity projects and/or tasks
- Play a key role in engineering design reviews and technical leadership, identifying potential project risks and technical weaknesses and proposing safe, reliable and compliant solutions
- Execute and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
- Hiring and onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 10 years of related engineering experience OR Master’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 8 years of related engineering experience
- 5 years' experience in microprocessor control hardware, firmware and architecture
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% as required, which may include remote locations and international travel, and be willing to comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
- Experience with PLC programming
- Experience with use of the MKVIe platform for controls
- Experience in power system protection
- Experience with RTDS testing of control systems

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
